The China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), founded on April 25, 1957, is held in Guangzhou every spring and autumn. It is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the People's Government of Guangdong Province. China's Foreign Trade Hosted by the center.It is China's comprehensive international trade event with the longest history, the highest level, the largest scale, the most comprehensive product categories, the largest number of buyers attending the event, the widest distribution in countries and regions, and the best transaction results. It is known as "China's No. 1 Exhibition" .The trade methods of the Canton Fair are flexible and diverse. In addition to the traditional viewing of samples and transactions, online trade fairs are also held.The Canton Fair mainly focuses on export trade, but also does import business. It can also carry out various forms of economic and technical cooperation and exchanges, as well as business activities such as commodity inspection, insurance, transportation, advertising, and consultation.The Canton Fair Complex is located on Pazhou Island in Guangzhou, with a total construction area of 1.1 million square meters, a total indoor exhibition hall area of 338,000 square meters, and an outdoor exhibition area of 43,600 square meters.The fourth phase of the Canton Fair Complex project will be put into use for the 132nd Canton Fair (i.e. the 2022 Autumn Fair). After completion, the total exhibition area of the Canton Fair Complex will reach 620,000 square meters, making it the world's largest exhibition complex.Among them, the indoor exhibition area is 504,000 square meters and the outdoor exhibition area is 116,000 square meters.On April 15, 2024, the 135th Canton Fair opened in Guangzhou.
